Robert Weaverling - BOT

Mr. Weaverling was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and is a lifelong Delaware County, PA resident. He earned his BS in accounting and management and MBA from LaSalle University. He has achieved the following professional designations CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance), and CCSA (Certification in Control Self Assessment). 

Mr. Weaverling is the Director of Internal Audit for The Bancorp, Inc. He has over 25 years of experience addressing compliance issues and conducting various audit/assurance activities within the healthcare and banking industries. 

Prior to joining The Bancorp, Inc., he held internal audit and compliance leadership positions with the Nemours Foundation (a Children’s Health System), Kennedy Health System (now Jefferson Health), AtlantiCare Health System, and Allegheny Health, Education, and Research Foundation. Additionally, he is a former auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Heffler, Radetich, & Saitta LLP. He has also worked previously at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in an operational role. 

Mr. Weaverling is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Information Systems Audit and Control Association. 

Mr. Weaverling’s son, George is a graduate of The Vanguard School and the Vanguard Transition Center. Mr. Weaverling has had a relationship with The Vanguard School since 2011, as a parent and Trustee.
